The supportive program for the joint scientific projects of Iran and Turkey was launched

The chancellor of University of Tabriz announced the call for the Iranian and Turkish joint projects and launching a website to upload these projects and said: By launching this website, http://int.tabrizu.ac.ir, joint projects of Iran and Turkey have practically entered the implementation phase.

According to the report of the Public Relations Department of University of Tabriz, Prof. MirReza Majidi by emphasizing that, this was done in accordance with the decision of the joint committee on the operationalization of the Memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research and the Council of Science and Technology of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), stated: To accomplish this, the first meeting of the Joint Committee was hosted by University of Tabriz and held in March 2019 with the presence of Prof. Hossein Salar Amoli, Acting Minister in International Affairs and head of the Center of International Scientific Collaboration and Prof. Hassan Mandal, chancellor of the Council of Science and Technology of Turkey, TÜBİTAK.

He added: Following the meeting, in order to provide the active participation of faculty members of universities of the country in joint projects of Iran and Turkey, the arrangements of uploading joint projects are provided after coordinating with the authorities of TÜBİTAK.

The chancellor of University of Tabriz by stating that with the launch of this website, along with attachments (including the proposal form, timetable and rules), it is prepared for the two sides to upload the projects, he mentioned: Website of the Council of Science and Technology of Turkey, TÜBİTAK, has also been launched for use by researchers in Turkey at https://www.tubitak.gov.tr.

According to him, these websites will be ready for Iranian and Turkish researchers from July 18th this year.

Prof. Majidi referred to the development of international cooperation and participation in the summit of the world's top universities as one of the major strategies of the university and stated: University of Tabriz was among the first universities which have been active in the major international unions such as the International Association of Universities (IAU), the International University Cooperation  (IUC) and the Union of Universities of the Caucasus (KUNIB) and now serves its national duty as the head of the Working Group of Scientific Cooperation of Iran and Turkey.

According to him, University of Tabriz is currently very active on the global arena and is currently cooperating with nearly 200 universities from different countries of the world, which more than 80 universities are from Turkey.
