The permanent Secretariat of the Iranian-Turkish Cultural Dialogues Was established at the University of Tabriz.

Dr Mir Reza Majidi the chancellor of the University of Tabriz stated: with the foundation of this secretariat, the scientific and cultural interactions between the two countries will be facilitated much more. chancellor of the University of Tabriz emphasized that development of cultural understanding between the two countries is the main purpose of the establishment of this secretariat and added that combating Islamophobia, Strengthening convergence between the two countries, reinforcing association between two neighbor countries and believing in scientific and cultural benefits of Iranian-Islamic civilization are  another purpose of the establishment of this secretariat.

Exchanging of academic members, students, experts, holding joint cultural and scientific visitings, conducting courses, organizing  scientific competitions and cultural festivals, publishing valuable religious and cultural  works, holding national and religious ceremonies, commemorating common scientific and cultural   prominent personalities and communication with organizations and institutions for mutual cooperation are the significant  mission of this secretariat, Dr Majidi said.
