University of Tabriz shines again in The World University Rankings 2021

According to the Public Relations Department of University of Tabriz, Dr. Rasoul Zavaraqi, head of the Central Library, Documentation and Publishing Center of University of Tabriz, referring to the ranking of University of Tabriz in the Times Ranking 2021, added: University of Tabriz was successful in improving its previous rankings.

According to the Secretary of the Scientometrics Committee of University of Tabriz, based on these results, University of Tabriz which in the field of Engineering and Technology (including General Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering) in the Times Ranking 2019 , was ranked 501 to 600, and in the Times Ranking 2020 was ranked 301-400, in this year's ranking (called Times Ranking 2021), it was able to obtain a brilliant ranking of 251 to 300 in the world and the second in Iran.

Zavaraqi by pointing out that University of Tabriz has succeeded in improving its world ranking in the field of Life Sciences (including fields such as Agriculture and Forestry, Biological Sciences, Veterinary Sciences and Sport Sciences), added: University of Tabriz was ranked above 600 in this field in the rankings of two years ago, which in this year's ranking (called Times Ranking 2021) improved its world and national ranking by having the rank of 401 to 500 in the world and the first in Iran.

Associate Professor of Knowledge and Information Science Department of University of Tabriz added:  Improvement of the university rank in the field of Physical Sciences (including disciplines such as Mathematics and Statistics, Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry, Geology, Environmental Sciences, Land and Sea Sciences) has also been perceptible. Despite gaining the rank of 601 to 800 in this field during previous years, this rank has been improved in this year's ranking to 501 to 600 in the world and the fourth in Iran.

The Secretary of the Scientometrics Committee of University of Tabriz, while referring to the 501 to 600 world ranking of University of Tabriz in the field of Clinical and Health Sciences  (including Medicine, Dentistry and other fields related to health and hygiene) in this year's ranking, added: In this regard, University of Tabriz is the only non-medical university that has participated in this subject ranking and is ranked the third in Iran along with Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

Zavaraqi pointed out that the last year's ranking of University of Tabriz in the field of Computer Sciences (501 to 600) has also been improved to 401 to 500 in the world and the third in Iran.

It should be mentioned that University of Tabriz in The World Ranking 2021 was also able to obtain world rankings of 372, 598 and 1131 in educational, citation and international outlook indexes and 664 world ranking in terms of research indexes and 518 world ranking in terms of income index and improve its previous ones. In this world ranking system, University of Tabriz was able to be ranked 601 to 800 in the world and the second among the comprehensive universities of Iran.
